Knowing the size of a book is an essential criteria to help determining it's final format. Despite this aspect has so often been neglected by some authors. Consequently, manuscripts are usually written based on the format of 216 x 280 mm. (8,5 x 11 inches)
However, we have to admit that the format de 133 x 210 mm (5,25 x 8,25 inches) has more advantage since it allows to place two sheets in one that has the standard format of 216 x 280 mm (8,5 x 11 inches). Which results in saving papers during the numerical printing work.
The standard format are: 133 x 210 mm or 5,25 x 8,25 inches (numerical and offset printing) 140 x 216 mm or 5,5 x 8,5 inches (offset only) 153 x 229 mm or 6 x 9 inches (offset only)
