Book page setup

The pagination of a book is certainly one of the most difficult steps. It may produce several undesired results.

For a better result, the final format of the book must be obtained in advance. The final margin as well (ex. 133x210mm)

If the final Format as obtained is 133 x 210 mm, the following info will apply

• High 7/8 (0,875)

• Low   7/8 (0,875)

• outside margin 1/2 (0,500)

• Inner margin 3/4 (0,750)

• Text frame 4 x 6,5 mm

• Notes: The outside and the inner might be modified or adjusted by the printer.

Pagination on a 216x280mm document combined with a final format book of 133 x 210mm will produce the info below

• High 2,25

• Low  2,25

• outside margin 2,25

• Inner margin 2,25

• Frame 102 x 165 mm

Head and down of the page serve to enter Titles and Numbers.

• The head of the page is usually in the center or on the side. The first pages of a chapter don't often have a designed top.

• Numbers may also be in the center or on the side

• The position is 7.65 mm from the edge.

Chapters serve to settle the book into different sections making  it easy to read, Spaces as well.
